We are excited to see you at The Water Ball on Thursday, September 25th and want you to have all the information you need for a great experience supporting safe water worldwide! What Can I expect at The Water Ball?
Expect to have a BALL! This isn't your typical gala - it isn't formal or stuffy, and there's no dry chicken meal! The event begins with plenty of time to enjoy time with friends, old and new, with LIVE MUSIC from Ellisa Sun from Nashville, a competitive BOURBON RING TOSS, custom CIGAR MAKING by XXX on site, a culinary journey of Louisville restaurants, and SIGNATURE COCKTAILS created by our bar sponsors. We also have a special surprise during the seated program that you won't want to miss! We can't wait to have a BALL with you at THE WATER BALL!
Where do I park?
When you pull into Progress Park, follow the signs to our front entrance drop-off. Complimentary valet service will be available to park your car safely on the property. Valet will bring your car right back to the entrance for you at the close of the event.
What if I need a ride home?
Feel like you've had too much to drink? See the team members at Registration for a complimentary Uber ride home. Your car will be secured on the property overnight, and you can pick it up on Friday.
What if it's raining that day?
No rain allowed! If only we could control Mother Nature. But if she doesn't cooperate, we have a plan to offer all the experiences under tents. Our team will be equipped with umbrellas as well, so don't let a little wet weather stop you from having fun while supporting a great cause.
What are "small bites" and is there a dinner?
When is the last time you attended an event and thought "that was the best meal I've ever had!"? If you're like us, NEVER! So instead of a mass-produced and pre-prepared plated dinner, we are bringing you the opportunity to sample all kinds of foods. Enjoy a culinary journey across Louisville by sampling gourmet bites and small plates from local restaurants throughout the evening. Stations will be located throughout the event, and signature appetizers and desserts will be available on each table during the seated portion. Bon Appetit!
How do I participate in the auctions and games?
All food and drink are included with your admission purchase. For event extras, such as games and auctions, all attendees will register a credit card. This card will be on file and tied to your bidder number, making it simple to have fun and support the mission of WaterStep.
Can I bring my kids/teenagers?
WaterStep appreciates the participation of supporters of all ages, but this event will have open bars and bourbon tastings. For this reason The Water Ball is a 21+ event.
What the heck is "Garden Party Attire" anyway?
Garden Party Attire can mean many things, so feel free to do YOU! Be comfortable, dress for the weather, keep in mind that some areas have gravel and grass, so plan your shoes accordingly. Casual dresses, slacks, even jeans qualify. See below for our staff's picks for Garden Party Attire!
